Updated for 2021…..after nearly ten years of service the Atlas Duty Belt receives a facelift.
Replace that old basket weave Duty Belt.
The base of the updated design is still two layers of stiff scuba webbing sandwiched between an outer face of flat webbing and an inner facing lining. The 1″ Trim Webbing runs down the center of the belt body and is the tail that cinches through the cobra buckle. This is a VERY stiff belt! The buckle used is a 1” Cobra buckle, since the body of the belt is wider than the buckle, there is nothing to stab you in the guts up front on the belt and the buckle cinches down just as tight and secure as it’s wider brethren.
The belt overlaps similar to the V3 Micro Battle Belt and has a small section of opposing material from the lining chosen to hold the ends of the belt together before buckled closed. If your gear is mostly threaded on or mounted with Tek-Loks, this is your belt. The 1″ tail webbing can be rolled up and secured with the included One-Wrap strip, tucked behind mounted gear, or just left hanging free if regular adjustments are needed.
Choose HOOK or LOOP lining options. For the hoopleheads out there, “Loop” is the soft fuzzy material, and “Hook” is the stiff scratchy one, also called Velcro.
How do I choose the correct size?
Belt CUT TO Lengths:
- SM 38″
- MD 42″
- LG 46″
- XL 50″
- XXL 54″
Remember to take into account anything that may be worn under the Duty Belt and take your measurements accordingly! The belt needs to overlap about 1.5″ inches at least to fit properly at the maximum and can overlap up to around 8″.

James –
I have been wearing this belt for duty for the past year. The belt still looks brand new and is so much better then what I’m issued to wear. The adjustments are quick and easy to make when weather changes and I have to layer for the cold. Does an excellent job of holding all the gear I need for work.
Highly recommend this belt.
