Modular BioThane Pants Belt

A non-overlapping 1.5″ pants belt. The main body is a single layer of BioThane. Biothane is a coated webbing with a hand similar to leather. The material is very popular and has been used for years in the equine industry as a low maintenance durable replacement for leather tack. The STANDARD Black body is around 4mm thick and the SLIM Black body is a thinner 1.8mm. 1″ mil-spec webbing runs the outer length and 10″ or so extends from each end of the belt. A very low-profile triglide buckle is trapped along a stretch on each end to facilitate trapping the 1″ tail webbing to lock on a buckle or create a loop.

Here’s where it gets fun (or possibly confusing for some)……You can order just the belt body and no buckles or you can choose to add a G-Hook or Cobra buckle at checkout. For a lot of us belts can add up like holsters, so you could harvest a buckle off a belt just gathering dust in a closet if you want. Or simply go through your random hardware and pluck out any buckle that takes 1″ webbing. The end user can even cut/melt the 1″ tail webbing once everything is set into place to trim up any slack not desired. Just keep in mind that WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY MODIFIED BELTS AS RETURNS! So make sure you like everything if you decide to break out the scissors and lighter…

How do I choose the correct size?

SIZING:
When ordering, the size selection numbers equal the actual length of the main 1.5″ BioThane body. This belt does not overlap. The 1″ tail webbing extends around 10″ past each end of the main belt body to facilitate buckle attachment options. Keep in mind that whatever buckle you choose will add some overall length as well. For example, using a Cobra buckle with each side trapped all the way down to the main belt body ends, would add close to 2″ to the overall belt fit; so a size ordered of say 32 would fit around 34″ when cinched all the way down, with 8″ or so that the belt sizing could “open up” from there. Even set your belt up to cinch through the buckle chosen and then tuck the free hanging tail however you wish or lock both sides down using the triglides for a simple fit belt.
